I want to make my own powder horn strap. What weave is used and where is a good resource to learn from?

Thanks,
Brian

I use an Inkel or Inkle loom for mine, but other guys use cards or even do it by hand (finger weaving). You can buy Inkel looms or make your own once you see one and what's going on. They're not complicated at all.

Googling will give you a bunch of links on Inkle weaving, but Wikkepedia has a good summary. I assume you can find similar links for card weaving and finger weaving, but I haven't pushed the buttons to find out.

Hunt up BrettSr. from here in Orygun for tips on card weaving. He's awful good at it.
I built an inkle loom and it's harder than it looks to get a really hard, uniform weave.
If you decide the buy, the Weaving Welshman's straps are simply awesome. Lynn posts here as well.
