Well I had some good hunting adventures opening day of deer season!
Well, to make a long story short I was trying to make a stalk on some small two point mules deer bucks when they discovered my position. So then I doubled back on my position when I noticed a small herd of does and fawns trotting in the thick sage brush. So I gave them a little whistle and they stopped in their tracks. While looking through my globe sight they ranged about 75 to 80 yards away. Standing there all I could see where their necks and heads so feeling confident I put the sights right on the neck of the doe and pulled the set trigger...and BOOM it was all over...I nearly flipped the doe over using a 50 caliber patched round ball over 60 grains of swiss black powder! I was impressed how well the round ball performed (actually round balls have never let me down!)...the round ball broke her neck and severed the juggular...I couldn't ask for any better shot! What a great year! Now I get to look forward to bird hunting with my black powder shotgun!
