Hello the camp: You Sir are in luck. There is an active Black Powder Club in El Paso. I lived in New Mexico for 30 years and many of the El Paso group attended many of our, New Mexico Mountain Men,rendezvous. Ask around for Juver Macias or Bill Luther - both great guys and seasoned buckskinners. Tell them Strawstalker (Dan Bromley) put you on their trail. Might just see you at an event.

Currently the wife and I reside in Podunk..... uummmm Trinidad, CO and I was looking forward to doing living history at Bent's Fort, well that ain't gonna happen now.

I don't know who the current officers are this year. You can call Randy West, Moriarty or Gary Dennison, Cedar Crest. You can also look up their (NMMM) web site and get some more phone numbers. Good group lots of solid folks and events.
I've tried to contact folks from AZ and NM with no luck, the nmmm email site is bogus, no response, and AZ is worse. I was planning and hoping to attend, but have pretty much given up. Theres no info out there, If I can a number, no one answers or returns a call. Have changed my handle to standsalone. Guess I'm a loner. :bull:
