Most reasonable things you'd use would probably not come close to level of stink of the human body...ie: if they get a whiff of anything you'd put on a bag, they'd also be getting a whiff of you.

Just to toss out some other ideas:
Sno-Seal
Neetsfoot Oil

I have used Huberds shoe grease in the past, I don't know who carries it retail, it was made here by a friend but he sold out, I think it is still being made though, all the equipment was loaded up and moved by the new buyer, it is a lot like brewers wax, it really helps condition and waterproof leather.

Beeswax and olive oil will work. Works just as good on leather as it does on roundball patches.

I used neetsfoot oil for my leather goods, never too much concern for odor because I alwayed hunted with a cover scent like Skunk Essence near by.

I googled "SCENTLESS WAX" and came up with this:
Petroleum Wax is semi transparent, tasteless, and scentless wax.

Some time ago, someone on this forum recommended all natural "Montana Pitch Blend". It's made from pine pitch, mink oil, and beeswax. I like it! www.montanapitchblend.com 800-728-0970

Haven't tried it as a patch lube :hmm: don't know if the pine pitch would be good for that

Sorry couldn't help myself! I have used neatsfoot oil in past with good luck. Just make sure it's the pure stuff and not the one witn all the additives.
Altrnative is bees wax and olive, both natures naturals.
