What do I have here?

I have my great great grandfathers percussionnmuzxle loading rifle that family lore says he took from Georgia to Texas during the great migration in the 1830-1850 period.

Looks to be about 32 caliber. Lock marked Partridge. I am told that this likely has an English lock and barrel but otherwise is American made,

William Partridge is said to be a maker of locks from 1827 to 1842 at Darlaston, Staffordshire. He was not a gunmaker as such. His name appears in a list of lock/locksmiths but his location was not identified on that list.
Some searching online indicates his locks may have been sold here and matched with early remington made barrels and sold in the US in the 1830s.
