according to google SSG Joe Pascarella was a top shooter in the Ohio National Guard

It was given to SSG Pascarella in Perryville, OH (Camp Perry) its a major shooting competition for military. A bunch of top shooters.

There is a picture of him in this link: https://www.ong.ohio.gov/buckeye-guard/archives/1978-BG-V3N3-June.pdf. They started giving items like this in addition to trophies because if you won something shiny it was retained by the Unit.

Update, got the Remington. Looks like it's the transition model from Replica Arms and Navy Arms. Made by Pietta 1976?
