I own 2, both came on TVM rifles. Both are excellant shooters. I don't know about the other questions you had, but I wouldn't hesitate to own more of the barrels.

My custom .32 Tenn rifle (not a TVA)came with a Longhammock barrel. It was real rough bored and needed polishing. I have not yet been able to work up a load with a tight group, although it has "hunting accuracy". [actually I have not shot it from a solid bench rest yet, just from X-sticks, so the groups could tighten...] The first squirrel that I shot at fell with a ball through the neck at 30 yds, offhand.... :m2c:

I have one on a TVM flintlock and like it. It came pretty smooth and is quite accurate. I would not hesitate to own another.

I bought a .36 cal from DGW a few months ago, and i'm in the process of draw filing it for a sort of tinker- with- it- as- time- allows project. The bore looked pretty good to me, but, since the rifle's not yet built, i have no idea how it shoots. There seems to be some sort of 'sea change' in this bore: ... i heard a rumor that Green Mt is only going to 3/4 inch, but we shall see...

If you have a problem with a Longhammock barrel, send it back, but you probably should call first. Ask for Riley.

I am interested in the answer to this question also! I have only seen the add from the Possibles Shop WWW.PossiblesShop They have some Tapered Fowlers that for $35 they will rifle. 66 - 73 and 78 cal. On an 1 1/8" taper to round, they would make a nice hunting weight. The 73 and 78 should be a real A$$ Kicker! :p
