I think that’s pretty cool. I thought about making one similar. Pistol stock and a shortened rifle barrel.

What an interesting firearm!

It looks Austrian or German to me, with that hammer and snail, and the shape of the grip.

I’m having a little trouble reading the caliper, but it looks like about a 7mm bore (?). The photo of the muzzle appears to show an eccentric bore. Not sure what to make of that.

In any event, it is peculiar, but it looks well made and must have had a purpose.

Looks like a home build from parts. I love that hammer. That long barrel should lend itself to accuracy but there is no back sight, so any hope of extra accuracy from the long barrel is not there.

I can't tell if it is rifled or not. If it is rifled I would get a back sight put on it. That bore is not proper, rather off set but it looks thick enough for a 7mm bullet at the thinnest point.

I'd clean it up and see how it shoots. Looked a lot better once.

Here in Absurdistan, the most common name for this type of weapon is usually "poacher's pistol". Perhaps simply because nobody knows the exact origin and they are often made of various unidentifiable parts with always a long barrel...
I think that by the times which run and the fashion effect, that could perhaps become an excellent weapon to shoot the Chinese balloons... ;)

That weird barrel band would skeeve me out, it looks like someone took something they had laying around in a drawer and fitted it on there.

That's the only thing containing the barrel whip from shooting. It makes me wonder if this wasn't assembled to be a wallhanger or a "blank gun" like one of those FestBoller pistols.
