Put together (stupid easy) a caldwell portable shooting bench. Can't wait to try it out. Been trying to sight in with a tripod mounted rest.

It seems to be plenty sturdy, and comfortable. Asked if I could use it as a seat and workspace in the living room at the TV........................it's in the back of my Xterra.

Put together paper cartridges for Remington 1858. All told 20. Took around 10 min for the first two then finished the rest in just under an hour. These are made using a kit with lube "over" the ball. Next I want to make a batch with lube wads under the ball . And then shoot and compare. Was actually pretty fun for a rainy day. Then next day was sunny & 80*F and next day (yesterday) 41*F and today 23*F and blowing snow...crazy ..no shooting for a bit

Went shopping at a couple of Pawn Shops here in paradise. Scored a Ryobi 9" band saw made in 2003 and a heavy Craftsman 5 1/2" bench vise. $50 each. The saw needs a bit of tidying up and a new metal cutting blade but it was made back when Ryobi made strong heavy stuff. Both finds will help me handle making small pats for gun building.

I finished scrimshawing the horn, finally. I had no idea what to scribe onto it. Hours just doing the borders. I then decided to do a map of the Chesapeake Bay on the facing side but no idea what to put on the obverse, so it remained blank for hours while I did other stuff.
Then it hit me: go nautical and do a Sloop. A quick google search and found a nice 18th Century Sloop to copy.
Next I will add some color and paste wax, and she's done!
