It would be very far too expensive as I was going to send stuff to Tommy in Maine I am not that good at napping and gave up this last year but must get back into it. Up in Norfolk is the the big flint producing area. It’s hard to get big nodules from the cliffs most are broken bits I get you get them broken up by farm machinery too , it’s dangerous so the cliff faces are fenced of, but not along the beach, must try that, and they are heavy to carry,I usually take a shopping trolly But they would make nice presents. I make a few flint tipped arrows and they go down well as presents I am west of London on clay. , but flint chalk starts 15 miles south of us and then 50 miles down to the close. Namely “ the white cliffs of dover”. The chalk starts at Brighton running east right to the french coast , good french flint. In the French wars we preferred French flint to our own so I readI’ve wondered how much trouble it would be and how much it would cost for someone in England to send me a flint nodule.
Nice to chat
