Finishing up my Kibler woodsrunner. Almost ready for pictures.
Looks like you got it going on, good job.LookWell to add to the antler powder measure I made yesterday I came up with some round ball blocks. These are 54’s and made from some quarter sawn post oak. As a newbie I am finding joy in making these little things to aid in shooting.View attachment 281571
last i saw you could sell that Johnsons on ebay and buy a new to you TC!!!!I tore my old TC rifle apart and finally took the time to rework all the brass/wood to make it fit entirely flush. There were always bits and pieces that were too proud and I finally had enough of looking at it and feeling it. It looks amazing now. Way better than the factory had it in 1970 something. I refinished the stock as well. I finished it in a beeswax/lemon oil rub in and then about 8-10 coats of Johnsons. Its like owning an entirely new rifle. Kinda' exciting

looks like u all had a good timeFinally......my smoke poles are all cleaned up from the New Years Day FREE Fun shoot held at Friendship yesterday. Despite the cooler weather, I counted 31 shooters with others coming and going. Lots of new folks showed up and all of them received several hours of trigger time. They had the opportunity to try cartridge guns, flintlocks and pistols shooting at various steel zoo critter targets out to 200+ yards. Eveyone enjoyed potluck of BBQ smokies, BBQ meatballs and several crocks of bean soups. It was a wonderful day. Video showing all the fun will be posted Sunday morning.....

niceI am new to black powder . I received a possibles bag and powder horn for Christmas. Not a big deal but I made me a powder measure from a deer antler this morning. Next thing will probably be a loading block made of mesquite or pecan. View attachment 281301

Boomed into the new year!!
u did good. ugh think i wouldnt have been very nice to themStarted the New Year off by shooting the trusty Hawken. The gun shoots so much better than I. Only two other young guys at the range today shooting very high dollar small caliber target unmentionables. Now it usually takes a hit on the head with a hammer to make me realize I'm being offended. But I'm not sure about this. They started in on me about being a contributor to global warming, my gun being worse for the environment than a diesel truck. Not sure if they were kidding or not so I decided not to kill them. Happy New Year!
very nice pic thank you. be it was peaceful out there

I smoked them! Also they had suppressors on their little guns and were wanting to shoot without ear protection. 75 grains of BP changed that. Now you may think I was being mean but there is a range at the club dedicated to rimfire weapons. They chose to come over to the big boy range with their rimfires and then complained about my smoke 'n noise!u did good. ugh think i wouldnt have been very nice to them
