What pistol, is the Trapper a cloone of?

Don't think the Trapper is actually a copy od any particular antique pistol. Some of the parts bear a resemblence to possible original guns but the Trapper isn't a clone of any specific pistol. A friend who had one got best results with 45 grains of FFFg, a .490" round ball & a .015" lubed ticking patch.
Kind of a copy of the T/C Patriot.
It was a copy of the T/C Patriot. Yes it was a very poor copy, but at the time there was a need for a cheap look alike.
It did not have the rear short reach trigger but used the rifle trigger set-up. It had crude sights compared to the TC. Due to too much wood it did not have the balance of the Patriot.
I have however seen these pistols tunned up and they shot well along side more expensive guns. :hmm:
