What's this hammer?

I found this at a friend's estate while getting ready for a sale.
At first glance-1803 Harper's Ferry? Original or reproduction?

The only marking didn't photo well. It appears to be a letter "N".

That is a ****, not a hammer. A hammer referred to what we call a frizzed today.

I would say looking at the screw it's an original. The frizzen was also called the hammer.

I would guess 1803 Harpers Ferry. I would also speculate India made, but don’t hold me to it.

If so, someone put a lot of work into it to make it look old.

Looks like it's off a flintlock of some kind but no way to be certain.
