The gun works has 00 buck=.330, but it's a five pound bag. You could shoot along time with five pounds though.

Columbus. I have an 1848 .31 Colt pocket pic attached. It takes a .320. I just this morning hammered in a .323 but it took some serious beating to get them to fully seat. I am looking for more pressure/distance. I cant imagine a .330 would fit. Ive heard od peeps using a .330 but id be skeptical. My advice, start with a .320. Easily available from Track of Wolf.

I have a brand new 1849 Pocket pistol and the recommended ball size is .330 but I can't find any.
Find some old 12 gauge ammo loaded with 00 buck and remove it from the shells, typically 9 pieces in a standard round. If you don’t have any you should be able to get a 5 pack (giving you 45 pieces of 00 buckshot) for $10 or less locally.

I use Ballistic Products Superbuck Lead Buckshot in my 32 caliber rifles (1-1/2 buck). It a little harder than pure lead, 8 BHN or so. I am not sure how their 00 buck would work in your pistol. Have you accurately measured the diameter of the cylinder chambers?

Buckshot is very hard to load, especially with that short lever on the Pocket Model. There are devices to apply more leverage, but i was very concerned about breaking my loading lever using that methodology. I happened across a Lee .330 mold by chance, and I now cast my balls from pure lead. Made loading much easier. Smaller diameter balls were of course easier to load, but were a loose fit in my Uberti, which also came with the instructions to use a .330 ball.

Without digging through the website myself to see what's in stock, I would try Ballistic Products or Track of the Wolf. Ballistic Products has a great stock, and it's all very high quality, and I've actually spoken with the TOTW people over the phone and they've been able to give me some very good advice as well as help me figure out what I needed to buy.

The TOTW guy actually told me to give the store a call if there was anything I needed that they didn't have listed, I guess they have some other things that aren't online.

The eras gone baby dragoon is also .330 and is a excellent conical for the uberti.
That and a cylinder loading stand makes for a good day.
