Anyone know where I can purchase powder around the Raleigh Nc area ? I'm not trying to order it offline

I buy powder at the Bass Pro Shop in Nashville TN. The store in Nashville will only sell you 2 pounds at one time, so you may need to go often so that you don't run low.........watch yer top knot..........

If u r trying to buy at a big box ask for the manager. The pimple faced kid doesn't know what B P is or that they have a magazine in the back.

Online from Jack's Powder Keg. His Battle Powder is Goex powder without the graphite coating.

I got some Goex 2f at bass pro a couple weeks ago. About $30 for a pound. Ouch. When I asked for it, the sales kid asked me what I was going to use it for. I thought about making a wisecrack but thought better of it and told him it was for my black powder rifle. He charged me, put it in a bag, and walked me out of the store with it.

Wow! The price has really gone up since last time I bought a pound from a store. A good portion of the price is the store passing on the HazMat charge to the customer along with the paperwork and explosive safe required by the feds. Buying online, even with a 5 pound minimum really is a savings. The cheapest way I know of is to get a 25 pound order which knocks the price per pound way down. That was Powder Inc. I tried Jack's Battle powder and while I didn't see much of a difference in fouling or accuracy the customer service was vastly different.

BP isn't really a money maker I'm sure. Most of the places that carry it, do it as a courtesy to their customers. He probably won't loose money though. Depending on what else he sells though, it might attract customers. The BP in E. Peoria carries the real stuff if you get down that way.

I had a friend pick me up some from that place near Winchester, VA. He was a little freaked out when he saw guys wearing Confederate uniforms there. LOL

I think I have something like 3 pounds right now.
