I live in eastern Iowa. I see caps at gunshows now all the time. You will never find them in gunshops. Muzzle loading died years ago in Iowa. Thanks for the link, was hoping to find something local.
Scheels is showing CCI and Winchester, they have a store on Des MoinesHaven't been able to find any #11 caps near me in a while. Anyone know of a source in the central Iowa area?
Thanks, Matt.
Yes, I did that a while back but considered it innovative rather than sneaky . Trying to get a good bang for my shipping and hazemat fees. Bought a bunch of FFFg then also.Grafs has a 3 tin limit for #11. Wonder if one could get 3 of the reg and 3 of the +? I don't need any just wondering.
Find out if they’ll transfer from store to store. Call CooperateThanks.ks for the tips.
Scheels has a store in dm but they don't have caps there, have to head over to Iowa City. Will keep an eye out.
I’m with North Fork.Quit buying and make your own.

Use acetone diluted single base smokeless powder as your binder or acetone diluted Duco cement. Plenty of threads on here on how to make your own. I've said it dozens of times now, I'll say it again, I don't care how cheap caps get, I WILL NEVER BUY CAPS AGAIN!
A good option if you have a bass pro in your area, otherwise hazmat $24 fee.Might try Bass Pro - I did the ship to store option, no shipping fee.
The next screen you will need to select ship to store rather than ship to home.Checked the local Walmarts as well, some random ml supplies but no caps. Cabela's/BP says free shipping but still charges the hazmat.
Appreciate all the suggestions.
