I'll be hunting next year for deer and elk. Which Powerbelt bullet would be the best choice 348gr or 405gr?? Thanks

Both will do the job. Most of the time I like to go with a heavier bullet for a little more penetration. My 50 cal shoots the 348 grain bullet with more accuracy so thats what I use. The first day at the range with that bullet I put three in one hole at 50 yards with open sights and 100 grains of Triple 7. The 405 and 444 grain bullets were not far behind, but I'm sticking with the 348 grain. I know you didn't list them, but I would avoid the 444 grain. I have not seen any expansion with them. I would shoot both the 348 and 405 grain in your rifle and see what it likes.

I heard that triple 7 isn't the best stuff to use with powerbelts, due to the hotter burning and the effects that has on the plastic base. Anyone heard that? I don't shoot it but i was wondering because a friend does.

If your friend is shooting a 50 cal, have him try some MMP Sub-Bases under his bullets. They are a heavy plastic wad made for high pressure. Only made in 50 cal!

Also try some 9/16 diameter Veggie or heavy card stock wads under the powerbelts, this may help, or may not.
