I was using the strong-smelling lubricant with a reddish color to it. Now what I just received with an online shipping order is Ballistol Sportsmen's Oil. It looks clearer -- has a weaker smell than the lubricant.
I was about to try the lubricant as a roundball patch lube -- something like a 5-1 blend with a mix of alcohol and water.
I used some of this Sportsmen's stuff on my MLs exteriors. Seems to cleanup nice. I was just wondering which one ya'll seem to prefer & what you use each one on. Supposedly, they are both the same -- according to a write-up I read. But they sure don't look or smell the same. I'm a little hesitant to use this Sportsmen's oil as a patch lube.
Thanks!
