what cap would you all use a musket cap or #11 magnum in a TC black mountain magnum. ive got tons of magnum #11s and ive been looking musket caps are pretty pricey. I found the RWS 1081 in the red box for 15.00 per 100 but got to drive 50 miles one way to get them. the powder I plan on using is pyrodex p with about 80 grains to start with a 600 grain .50 cal no excuse conical if the #11 mags would work I could use that money to ad more molds to my casting equipment

What nipple came I talked on your rifle?

You don't really gain much by using musket caps. Use the #11 magnum cap. It would be money better spent to get the #11 Hot shot or Spitfire nipple.

Musket caps are not more sure fire. They were made big to make it easy to handle in high stress environment.
I like flint but have owned and still own some cap poppers.
If you are in some cold weather shooting situations you might find the musket caps easier to handle.
