You will like that kit. My next one will be a Woods Runner.
I talked to a gentleman at Pecatonica to day. They can supply a blank for an investarms hawken I just finished. The stock that came in the kit was the wrong wood, lock was 1/8" too far forward and a few other problems. Not even going to try to get the stock replaced from them.
 
Was the barrel already pinned and if so how did you remove them and replace them?
Buy a decent 1/16” long nose drift punch and carefully tap the pins out with a small hammer. Tap them out far enough that you can grab the end with pliers and pull them out. File or sand off any teeth marks before reinstalling. I always put my pins in from the right and take them out from the left.
