Cab,

What revolver are you reloading for? Reason that I ask is that these two loaders look to be for .31's and .36's that don't have loading levers on the revolver itself. Or the levers are really short and painful to use. It's the only reason to buy one, unless you're loading a half-dozen '58 Remmy cylinders in advance.

If you're interested in loading a revolver to competition-type accuracy, I have just the thing! And you don't have to remove the cylinder from the frame to load it! Give me a PT with your email address and I'll email you photos! It's made of hardwood and heavy-duty enough to load Walkers all day long! Also has a flip-down shelf to adjust the stand to accommodate sheriff's model or other smaller-framed revolvers. This deluxe stand can also be used for single-shot pistols by having the maker (my good friend) add an extra piece of wood to the base where the butt of the gun is held in place. Stand also holds supplies such as balls, wads, patches, short starter and pistol range rod.

Several folks on the forum have these photos. All of us at the League I shoot at as well as a second club I'm a member of have purchased these stands. They retail for only $50 American, and can be had for less direct from my friend who makes them on his work bench.

So let me know, O-K?

Dave

The Triple P loader looks like a whiz-bang piece of equipment all right, but I was just reading on another forum that some folks who had ordered them have never received them. They also have been unsuccessful in contacting 6gun4fun to find out why. Given this situation, I personally would be unwilling to part with my hard-earned cash to buy one of his loaders.

If you would like additional info, send me a PM.

:v I bought the whizz-bang a couple of years ago and it has stood the test of time and function quite nicely. I had heard things I didn't like to hear about the other model. "Doc"

Either of those would be good. They can both be adjusted for whichever revolver you have.

I'd just as soon not take the cylinder out to load so I'm gonna make myself a stand that simply holds the revolver standing barrel up.

By wizz-bang, do you mean the Triple-P or the one offered by Powder Inc.?

I have a Triple P that's also designed to cut wads with. I really like it a lot because it has linkage that reduces the amount of force required. But if it's not currently available like I've been hearing lately, then that's just one less option to choose from.

I have the Powder Inc. unit and am quite satisfied with it. It will handle any size cylinder and chamber. I did do small mod to add tapped holes in the base that hold the jags which are not being used.

i got one of those. They work ok, but i would not recommend them. The metal inside the handle bent on mine the first time i tried to use it and the wood handle split. They work ok for Remingtons but aren't made for Colt styles. The pin isn't fat enough for Colts. You cam make it work if you hold the cylinder by hand at an angle as you load it though.
