Interested in a Whitneyville Hartford Dragoon, other than the shorten barrel length of 7 1/2" as opposed to the 9" of the 1847 Walker; is the cylinder capicity also deminished as in the Dragoons's Models (1st, 2nd and 3rd)?

I beleive the actual Colt Dragoon had a cylinder 1/4" shorter than the Walker. Modern repro's might not follow this.

The Whitneyville Dragoon is a transitional model between the Walker and the First Model Dragoon. It has some Walker features but uses the Dragoon length cylinder. 45 grains of fffg ought to be about right. It is a potent revolver by any standard.
