I will start this off.
I bought my Underhammer from Bruce Lingenfelter, who gets them from Deer Creek.
After i had it for about 2 months the trigger broke. at which time I gave Deer Creek a call and they were the politest people i have dealt with in years, expecially over the phone.
Also as far as a "middle man" goes you cant ask better than Bruce Lingenfelter @ Bluegrouse muzzleloaders he has answered every question with enthusiasm and patience he also is a wealth of knowledge on muzzleloaders he both quote written books and tells you the name of them and personnal experience and is above all a great guy. anyone looking for a good deal with great customer service i highly recommend Bruce and Deer Creek.

Jax12,
Interesting topic. So often we only see negative post about customer service.
It makes no difference if you are selling parts or building guns, eventually something will go wrong. It's how that problem is handled that makes a difference to me. I think the best in the business has to be Chamber's flintlocks. I personaly have never had a problem with any of his products but have seen first hand him fix or replace things without even asking a question of how it hapened. Most times I'm sure he knew good and well the cutomer did something wrong to break the part.

sounds like good people to do business with. the folks at october county are goofd folks aswell. the first company i everhad that called me to let me know there would be a delay in shipping. bravo :hatsoff:

I feel the same way about Thompson / Center...just an outstanding lifetime warranty service.

One thing I noticed about T/C, you don't have to be the original owner of the gun to get the lifetime warranty service...

Roundball,
I've never had any dealing with TC but I would have to agree after reading about there service on the boards that they are one of the best.

:applause: :applause: I have a 56 cal. T/C S/B and the stock cracked. I sent it back and you should see the new one they sent, WOW it's great.
If anyone can find a better company let me know.
Now days these types of companys are hard to find.

HARD TO BEAT T/C for a off the shelf gun.
Make smoke.

T/C is the best. I like both TVMs, but nothing can top T/C for generosity and keeping up their end. Now, if we can get them to make a slightly more period correct piece...

I called T/C and asked them when are they going make a long rifle and they said at this time they have no plans to do so, but maybe down the road.
I think they would have a hard time making them fast enough! :hmm:

Seems like that would be the cat's meow wouldn't it...and it wouldn't take an overwhelming alteration to their existing Hawken...change a few things here and there
