Winkler knife

Here is a picture of a Dan Winkler knife that someone asked for a picture of, this was before he started doing the modern stuff. I have a larger riflemans knife I need to dig out and take a picture of as well. For your enjoyment and another example of what can be done with old files.

Like this one a bunch. I had one of his knives from the late 80's also made from a old file. I ended up loosing it, but that's another story. Thanks for sharing.

Ok, I finally dug out the other one.

These were bought many years ago when Dan first started, although they were bought at the same time and look similar they are not a set.

As said earlier, I wish he was still doing this kind of stuff

My neighbor makes knives, He gave me a knife years ago that looks like the top one here.

Nice, I have a few knives made by a local bladesmith from files and old saw mill blades. He used to set up at the gunshow and I would buy one from him at each show. Guess I need to bust them out and take some pictures and post them.
