I need some suggestions on PC footware! We have several good winter M/L events here in my area of the country and except for changing moccasin's several times a day (like many of the 'Ol timer's did), I want to get some ideas how to keep my feet warm and dry! I know that this has been a problem for many of us. I know we have some great folks on this forum to help, so any and all help is appreciated!

Thanks, Rick

After several years of wool inside braintan mocs I broke down and got a pair of trekkers from Fugawee for (wet) winter wear. :hatsoff:
I have a friend who swears he's never had cold wet feet in a pair of mocs he made out of braintan with the hair on. (That is, hair side turned inside as an insulator.)
I haven't tried it myself but it seemed to keep him happy.

Try Arrow Moccasin Company. They have several styles of winter moccasins.

No matter the era, I'd have to think that Canadian styles would be a factor in winter footwear in other locations. If you want to know about cold, go to the source. Here is a good one on styles.

the mountain men would wear buffalo or elk hide mocs with the hair inside and wear a few pairs of regular mocs underneath. but the winter mocs would have to be big enough for all the regular mocs to fit under.
