Hi all,

Just a quick note to let you know about an upcoming event in Vermont. On Feb. 26 & 27th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM there will be a primitive muzzleloading Biathalon just south of Manchester, Vermont. Many other competitions but the main event is the biathalon. Basically it's a timed woodswalk using snowshoes. Period dress encouraged including snow shoes, and some snowshoes will be available for use on the course. Primitive camping available if you're up to it with Vermont's winter temperatures.

Inlines are allowed, but will compete in separate events.

I'll post the contact information and hopefully more details when I get home tonight. Location is just barely south of Manchester on Historic Rt. 7A.

Hey twisted,

hope you don't mind, I lifted your flyer to make it into an ad in Buckskinner. You'll find it in the shoot schedule section...nice flyer!

Sweet!! That's great. Thanks Stumblin' Some friends of mine are putting it on and I'm sure they'll appreciate that.

no problem. I'm trying to figure out some way to either get there or get someone there who can shoot some pictures for our Rondyviews section. This is one of those events that I have been wanting to attend for some time, but time isn't always on my side!

I'll be happy to take some shots while I'm there. I'm certainly not a pro and if you can get a pro down there, that would be better, but I've got a small Nikon digital camera that can give me 300 dpi tiff files. Not sure you could get good enough quality from it to go larger than a 5x7 shot, but could certainly get decent ones up to that. I'll be happy to take some shots and you can see it there are any that are useable. Would you be looking for vertical or horizontal format shots for the most part?

Twisted; Did you realize these are the same dates as for the 5th annual Wabanaki Run Biathalon in St J? It's too bad you didn't pick a different weekend as I'd like to attend both, but not on the same weekend. At 3 score and 7 I needa rest between events!! :snore:

Hello squirejohn,

I didn't organize this event, a relative of a friend is putting it on. I was just jazzed that one was taking place in my area.

LOL, at 2 score and 14, I wouldn't be up for both either.
