It seems we went a bit off thread in the Historical Trekking section so I cannot reply there.

I do like to get stuck into a jucy discussion don`t you? Apologies to moderator for going off thread. I guess I like to give a subject a good stir-up and get a good argument going. It`s fun! Don`t take it to heart, we Brits have a bit of a wicked sense of humour.

There were some good points raised and I had would have come back to them. Later perhaps....... :: It is interesting listening to a slightly different take on things.

. . . we Brits have a bit of a wicked sense of humour.

Ah. That explains the automotive electrical system as employed by British Leyland and MG.

I'm more guilty than most of mutating threads. The human mind makes incredible leaps of connecting related thoughts when the synapses close. That's why we're still better than computers. Hard to control sometimes, but still fun to be around.

Now as for wooden spoons, I remember my grandma had one for stirring laundry that was about three feet long and was feared by every kid in the neighborhood - related or not.

Me too, I'm guiltier than most, Sorry Claude.

I agree with you Steve, I'd be glad to hear more of your point of view my fine British friend.
At least we are allies now, Huh!

I guess I never was scared enough of the spoon! :blah: LOL!
