Well, I worked a deal on the Cumberland Fowler by ERA that Rich has. He's going to hold it and let me make payments on it until it's paid off then he'll ship it off which with any luck should be the middle of next month. Beats the heck out of waiting a year or more for one. This is the gun that I've had my eye on for the past couple years but just didn't want to wait a year plus to have made up. Seems like this worked out pretty well. Talk to ya'll later.

Thats great. Now you will have two new guns to go out and try out. Have you fired the Frontier rifle yet? Have fun with both of them. Take care.

This is a completed, ready to shoot gun, right?

Yep, it's a complete gun, not an "in the white" one.
I'm going to try and shoot the Frontier this Friday. I still need to pick up some bags of sand to redo my backstop. I think it'll shoot pretty good from the looks of things. It sparks up a storm.

Here's a pic of about what it'll look like. Of course, being a hand made gun it may be just a tad different but not by much. I still can't believe that I lucked out and found one of these at a price and with a payment plan that I can afford.

Good show! Getting a gun you want, at a price you like, in a few weeks instead of a year? It doesn't get much better than that in muzzleloader land!

It's suppose to be 12ga but I'd bet that he means 75cal., which is actually closer to 11ga. It should make a heck of a turkey gun and I'd like to try my hand at dove with it too. :hmm:
I'll mike the bore to see which ball mold to get, probably be a .715 if it's .750" and then I'll use a thick patch. This'll be my first smooth bore flintlock, my others were cap lock, so it should be quite a bit of fun working up a load for it.
