Would like a little helpful info

Howdy folks I'm still pretty new to this muzzleloading still trying to get it all down pat I've gotten you Thompson center Hawkins and 45 caliber long Kentucky rifle but my question are around my side by side 12 gauge percussion shotgun it's a CVA !!! BUT trying to figure out what size leads I could use to shoot slugs out of it and it's smooth bore also what size pellets should I shoot for buckshot loads and how many in it would love to hear y'all's info and where y'all get y'all's lead from and is anyone had any luck with accuracy shooting smooth bore side by side slugs

In what distance do y'all think the shotgun would be accurate at for deer hunting

I'd forget the shotgun and use the rifles.

It depends on what your chokes are. If you have a improved cylinder that may be your ball shooter. I think the CVAs had IC and modified.
