Hurricane Ike tore through Ohio pretty hard, and I expected a lot of the leaves would be off the trees early. My first squirrel hunt of the year proved this theory out. That should be bad news for the critters, but I hadn't counted on those same winds blowing incredible numbers of small limbs off the trees too. Thus one eye has to be scanning the trees for dinner, and one eye has to be on the ground to keep from being too noisy. Could prove to be a fire hazard also.

Saw two, got one with one shot. Of course the second showed up while I was cleaning the dead one. Having glasses this year makes a world of difference. I can actually see what I'm supposed to be shooting at now. Blurry middle aged eyes cost me a deer last year. Now I'll need a different excuse!
