No problem, it is a discussion after all..I apologize for getting off track from the original post. Didn’t mean to do that. Just got carried away.

Oops, I posted on the wrong threadIt appears to be very "concealeable". Even as bulky my CVA is, it fits in my pocket well.I bet a Henry Deringer would really fit in the pocket. If mine were more dependable I might consider it as a concealed carry. But a person really should have more than 1 shot.I can just imagine the headlines if a "bad guy" were shot with any cap and ball gun.
Wrong thread but it is small and concealableOops, I posted on the wrong thread
It does make a great backdrop doesn't it? Actually it's a battle flag from the Army of Tennessee, I think?RKG1 A damn Yankee here. your history is that you kept slaves and tried to secede from the union. At the end of the day you got whooped. So the whole line about going to a different country is a bit off. Perhaps different state would be more appropriate. That being said I have no problem using the battle flag of the army of northern Virginia as a back drop to a display of confederate civil war revolvers.

Was asked by a member to post my Confederate collection. These didn't come already in the form they are in. I had to find the parts and assembled them. All except the Spiller and Burr and the Dennix Lemat. The Pietta Lemat I had was out of time and it chain fired twice on me. I got rid of it and have not replaced it because of the cost.
So here is what I have right now.
The matter is not in offense by history. The main is to understand the mistakes, and stop the killing on the planet…If they are offended by our history they can leave and go to a better country if there is one. Otherwise get over it.
My GG grandfather"s regiment , the 3rd Texas Infantry, also carried a "Taylor Flag" with reversed colors as their battle flag. The silk has since faded. What was blue is a darkish gray but it must have been a beautiful sight 160 years ago.It greatly resembled Secesh's avatar in post #32 but the center star was about twice the size as the others.Correct. It is the most recognizable of all variations, having blue bars against a red field…
IMO, the Trans-Mississippi flag (Gen. Taylor’s flag) is the most beautiful variant having a reversed color, red bars against a blue field.
My grandson confiscated that one. Has it displayed next to his Walker. He knows all these are his when I'm gone. But he also knows I have the tendency to sell stuff when I find something else I want. Like a new DeWalt drill for instanceThe one I didn't see in your collection was the Tucker and Sherrard.
I looked for the Texas flags. I wanted the Bonnie Blue. This one was the only one I could find, and it was on ebay.My GG grandfather"s regiment , the 3rd Texas Infantry, also carried a "Taylor Flag" with reversed colors as their battle flag. The silk has since faded. If you look at Texas history you will see that Sam Houston, governor at the time, was against seceding from the union and was subsequently forced from office. You can also note that Stephan F Austin recruited from Switzerland and other European countries because they were anti slavery. That was to satisfy Mexican requirements that his colony not hold slaves. My GG grandfather was not a slave holder. Very few Southerners were slave holders. Most were poor folks trying to protect their home ground and families. My GG grandfather was pretty much conscripted and served with honor regardless of the outcome. After the war according to many reports I have read the combatants treated each other with courtesy and dignity regardless of the colors they wore during the war.RKG1 A damn Yankee here. your history is that you kept slaves and tried to secede from the union.
