I don't know, the more I look at that narrow front blade .080 the more I think I need to mill out another with a wider lower base/skirt and blade of .100 or perhaps Ruger Blackhawk width of .125.
I think a wider base skirt covering more of the female dovetail barrel cut will look better and the wider blade make sharper target definition.
What are your plans for the rear sight notch in the hammer? I believe the factory barley corn type front sights on the Uberti Walkers I have are maybe .060” across the top. Anything wider will obviously fill the notch in the hammer.

I'm going to file it square (rear notch) and increase the blade width up front.

I wouldn’t be afraid of nipping the nose off the hammer and then installing a blade rear in the barrel block. Something like this could work and you’re still left with a 6” sight radius more or less…

I prefer the longer sight radius and never liked the cluttered (personal taste) up look of the rear sight up there ahead of the cylinder. The other thing is holster snag with a rear sight mid gun.
Use of the hammer notch is the real reason for a dovetail front sight for windage adjustment.
