Oh dear, I missed the twist. Let me re-phrase. I can’t think of a good use for a 1 in 66 twist, .71 caliber, 24” rifled barrel. If they were really useful, they’d have made a lot of them and they’d be on guns everywhere. Somebody might have fun making a short gun with one. I can’t shoot a gun that short. A short barrel gives less velocity with a given charge than a long barrel. Short barrels should have faster twist because they give lower velocity and a faster twist is needed to stabilize the projectile. Most short barrel jaeger barrels had twists of 1:48 or less. Sighting is not as accurate for me when the sights are a foot apart. That’s why I have an opinion that it’s not a very useful design for any purpose I might have for a gun barrel.
