P1842 Rifled musket

I recently posted my P1842 musket. This was a smoothbore. The British Military Enfield Pattern 1851 (note per P1853) percussion Minié rifled musket of .702 inch caliber was the original main stream rifled musket that was accepted into British service. This was put to good use in the Crimean war. However there were not enough. As a stop gap the idea was to rifle P1842 muskets. They were not liked by the troops due to the heavy recoil from a very large .75 Minie used.

They were rifle with a 5 goove or a 3 groove rifling. The other give away is the adjustable long range back sight.

Here is my one. A bit rough overall and the muzzle is very pitted but it shoots still well.
