Here is a Jud Brennan built southern iron mounted 40 cal rifle. The barrel is a swamped Colerain 40 cal 42 inch flat bottom rifling made around 99 maybe 2000 but just sit in a corner an never used. The lock is a Chambers round faced english assembled an tuned by L.C. Rice. The wood is a slab sawn plain piece of hard sugar maple from Allen Martin an the front sight is a 1962 silver quarter. Jud forged all the other parts. 13 an a 1/4 LOP an 3 inch drop with a 1/4 inch castoff. She is accurate an very slim. The man knows how to build a flintlock rifle. Its his 180th.

Man that’s something, I like how he left the coin stamping on the front sight. Beautiful piece.
