What Freedom said is a good idea. I have done it on mine. File a bit ( very little) off the rear of the tang. Will prevent the wood behind it from chipping out.
I’d bed it with accraglass. Not traditional but I bed all my cubs at the breech end.
If you don't file a couple thousands clearance at the end of the Tang on the Kolonial, it'll chip out the stock when using heavy recoil loads.. don't ask me how I know.
And if I remember Kibler said to give it a little bit of a bevel (which I also did). What Freedom said is a good idea. I have done it on mine. File a bit ( very little) off the rear of the tang. Will prevent the wood behind it from chipping out.
