Copper anti seize for my nipple and set screw plug.

I don’t have technically nipple grease. I do have a can of the standard industrial copper colored anti seize . Would it be fine to use it on the nipple threads and set screw plug hole ? I would think so. But thought I’d ask. Yeah the manure is messy if you’re not careful. But I have it already. Thanks WarDawg.

Anti seize is all I use, it works very well.

I use it on b/plug threads now instead of Neverseez. It's been working just fine on '40 packard cyl. head studs for me for years now and they go into the water jacket. Think of it as a copper bearing version of neverseize, and we do after all, dump water down out barrels. Unless someone comes up with a plausable horrific reason why it shouldn't be used I'm going to continue using it.

I use this stuff breech plugs and nipples, it never washes off and does a great job, the copper is the same suff.

It never washes off your hands or anything else either, ask me how I know.

felpro c5a was developed for NASa copper base. used it on aircraft hardware, use on nipples, lock screws, flint clamp. little goes long ways. be sure to clean fingers before handling other parts. lok-tight makes it now . apply with toothpick mike

I use either tooth pick or cotton swab to apply it.

White lithium grease has always worked for me. The trick is to loosen the nipples after you're finished shooting and prior to cleaning. Btw, it's not nearly as messy as anti seize. Lastly, white lithium or assembly grease (e.g. Park's) works much better than anti seize when I install (or remove) pedals on my bicycles.
