This is another firearm that my gunsmith friend put together during a cold winter. If fired it was only one time. Nice clean rifle, a few marks from the safe, bore is clean. Marking on barrel that indicates barrel maker Spain. Gunsmith made a brass underlug which makes this look a little different. Percussion lock, .50 cal. check photos ask questions, respond here and with PM. Asking $250 + shipping. thanks for looking, steg49

Wops, must have been thinking of a different barrel that I have. Sorry I will correct. steg49

Not a Missouri hawken. That model was a much later build and had a rubber recoil pad and a frontier style trigger guard.

This is your Standard, early model cva hawken. The larger lock such as the one in the ad, is Standard, not the tiny lock you find on the mountain rifle, frontier, Kentucky and many other cva models.

The walnut stock dates this as a very early piece.
