What do you do with your pan primer when shooting from a range box and priming when standing at the firing line? I don't want to just stick it in my pocket to avoid bumping the spout and getting powder in my pocket.

I put it in my pocket. The spout has to be pressed fairly hard to dispense any powder, and haven't had any powder in my pocket.
Ditch it and prime from the horn.
Ditto. Mine is on a leather lanyard around my neck with a touch hole pick. Easily accessible. When shooting percussion, which is most of my shooting, a brass capper is on another leather lanyard.
@awreis, you do have to perform regular maintenance on the pan primers and the valves. The fines (very fine powder that is in the prime powder) will eventually coat the valve to make it stick open. They are easy to take apart to clean and spray the little spring with some drying lubricant to stop rust.
I will put my primer flask in my pocket with the tip up to further prevent leakage. I do watch to make sure the tip of the valve moves as it should to close off the valve.

I have a small horn just for the prime, which I hang out of the way around my neck/shoulder. Hangs convenient and out of the way until needed. Be sure to plug after priming!
I prime from the horn.
If there is a table/shelf on the line, I put my primer (and or caps/capper) there. therefore I don't have the temptation to prime before being on the line. I usually use a small priming horn with stopper so if there is no shelf, I put it in my pocket.

I put it in my pocket, spout up. But then I use a horn with a wood stopper. You could stick it spout up in you hip pocket.
Why bother with an extra foofaraw? Just prime from your horn.
I use 3F in all my muzzleloaders from .32 to .62 and just prime directly from the same powder horn.
I do use a little priming horn, but it is with my messkit. I carry salt in it for my camp meals.

I'm usually wearing jeans at the range so, if I am using one of the skinny brass ones, it goes in the watch pocket, spout up. I don't tuck my button up shirt in so it's covered. I'll sometimes use a smaller horn or 90% of the time I just prime with the same powder and horn as my main charge.

I'm not (yet) a flint shooter but I see plenty of shooters putting the priming containers in their pocket.
I like the idea of priming from the same horn but, for example, my horn won't dispense such small amounts of powder reliably so I'm making a small priming horn in advance. So, there you have it from one who HASN'T been there done that.

Different situations call for different methods, on a woods walk I usually just prime from the main horn, 2F, 3F both work.
At our club match shoots the horn is supposed to stay at the bench and you do not prime or cap until you are on the line. I usually just stick the priming horn in my pocket, weskit or pants pocket doesn't matter.

I load the barrel from the horn. I prime with the same powder, from the horn. No priming horn. One less thing to carry.
