Interesting, but the Whitney frame shape is quite different from the Spiller and Burr, much more open in front of the cylinder.

Never seen an original. That's interesting.
The replicas I had were the same. They were Palmetto kits. The only difference was the frame. Brass and steel.
My friend has a Palmetto Whitney and he told me it wasn't any different than the Pietta Spiller, besides the frame.
