Something I wanted to do for awhile, was recreate the JP Beck Pistol. It was a fun little project adorned in sterling silver. It is not a bench copy but as close as I could get with hardware I could find. Trigger is forged. Barrel is a Bobby Hoyt .50, the lock is old stock Hollenbaugh/Ditchburn at 4.2x .77 it’s small.

Stock is a piece of rock hard curly red maple. Hand made/hand finished imperfections are part of the beauty😉 Comments and criticism is welcomed👍

Wood was finished in Aqua fortis, Becks Oil, and Becks Wax.

Build time is approximately 40 hours, hand tools only, over about 10 days.

Also attached pictures of the Original.

BTW: I made the cutting board too🤣

in one picture, it appears to have a clear crack across the grip; others show no sign.
Repaired?
