Can anyone tell me anything about this rifle?

okay for a hundred bucks, but those locks are very...lackluster in performance. Pretty much engineered for wall hanging, but might go bang. Not worth putting anything into...in my opinion. Like mentioned, mid seventies import during the beginning of the bicentenial ML craze..

Early CVA, Jukar, Ultra Hi etc. from the 60's and early 70's. Have known people who had decent success with the percussion locks but The flintlocks are pretty much junk. You could pick one of these up for around $50.00 back then.

Going with ultra hi? Made in japan? They had the larger brass plate and no dove tail front sight.

Yes that matches the pattern of the Ultra-Hi flintlock rifles from the 1970's-1980's. Miroku was the maker, and they were made in Japan.
Normally there was a faux patch box on the right side, but otherwise the hardware is correct. Might be a very late version where they omitted the faux patch box.
