Here a little set I put together for fun. Trying to make it look like something the southern Appalachian man might have made for himself. It’s a 4-5oz split boar hide that’s been burnished and roughened up around the edges a bit. Strap is 2” wide jute. The knife is made from a crosscut saw, the vent pick from a horse shoe nail and the pan brush from deer antler and boar hair. Banded horn is a crew tip and measures approx 13” around the curve plus another 1 1/2” for the plug. A faux repair has been done using a flattened 54 cal ball. Horn is airtight. Chains are made from 14 and 16 ga baling wire. Shipping anywhere a flat rate box will go for $300. Please ask if you have any questions.
