Hi I am John and have just finished a rifle company kit of the Ferguson rifle. The posting by Dave Person was amazingly helpful. I had made 4 builds to this point, a traditions Kentucky long rifle, a Pendersoli Kentucky pistol, a derrenger, and a percusion pistol.

The Ferguson took me a year and while I understood allot of the required skills actually doing them was taxing. But in the end i have a finished product that i feel i can show with pride but needless to say i still need improvement. I will post pictures of the build and hope for some useful feedback.

Dear John .Well theirs' deep ending ' I knew a Yorkshire Plummer made a Ferguson from scratch . I cleaned it up and engraved it . And a local Fishermen made one. bit rough stocking but clever mechanic . I made a rifle on the' Turn Off ' Principal & a rude' Le Chaumet' affair from surplus 310 Cadet Brl Not sure breechloading will catch on but full marks for effort .
Regards Rudyard
