Good example, first smoothbore I have seen. Usually a small caliber rifle. They often break down and can be stored in a case.
 
'Sorry Gents, the pics didn't go up as planned (?) This little guy is an underhammer, approx. 24-20 ga., and has a unique rr thimble/s in that they're both part of one piece of rolled sheet steel soldered to the bbl.
 
After I'd thought about it it occurred to me that maybe the reason for an underhammer was so it could lay nearly flat under a seat pad etc. (?) There were no markings on it that I could see.
