I purchased these two rifles at auction thinking they were something else altogether. I missed a lot I had watched and then these two came up. Thinking they were those Plainsman rifles from the 70s, I bid figuring on a consolation prize. Not until auction was over did I discover what I bought. I guess these are Vincent or Ohio style rifles? They are both .36, stocked in Cherry and stamped C.B. BROOKS on the barrels. One stock has an old crack on underside of forestock. Initially, I only had a vague idea who Brooks was. I have determined that this is Cecil Brooks of NRA Brookss Rifle fame.
