Outside of the human suffering, imagine the valuable guns, currency, coinage, rare furniture, paper records, photos, etc., that have been destroyed over the centuries by fires, floods, warfare, etc. Mind-boggling! Of course human tragedy takes precedence, but when you see how few, say, Revolutionary War items exist (or any category), it makes one appreciate those items that have survived un-touched. Don't get me started on the mice, insects, neglect, etc. Oh, well, we can't take it with us! Just pondering.
