Sadly, my Losey #54 has a broken spring. I have no idea who the lock manufacturer is. Any help in locating a source for replacement would be greatly appreciated. The spring length is 3.46" approx.

You can follow the link below to the Track of the Wolf's catalog to print out the full-sized illustration of the lock to compare to your broken spring. Based on what you observe, order a replacement spring. You ought to be able to find a matching spring among the 50 locks they have cataloged.

Barbie at Chambers is easy to deal with, if you think it's a Chambers lock, just call or email her.

I've heard you could send it to Dixie Gun Works, they would match it up and send it back with the appropriate new spring. I would Imagine Track of the Wolf would do the same thing if you gave them a shout.

It looks like a simple enough spring. If you are handy and have a few tools you could make one. Dixie sells the spring steel and a book on simplified V springs by Kit Ravenshear.
