I reposted it today with the proper nerd photo and no phone number. Please delete this one as I can't modify it. .

Well, I guess I can modify this one. I'll post this on gunbroker with their fee added in a few days

Nerd photo? If you don’t like the way we try to protect each other by posting a simple photo why don’t you pull the add now and put it on GB.

I have purchased several firearms via this forum and have never had a problem. Every sale was professionally handled. The owner of the forum does require the screen name and date shown by the firearm for sale and that does add a level of trust. I don't find that an oppressive requirement.

Many if not most forums require you to have been registered for a certain period of time and usually have a certain number of posts before you can post in the classifieds, this forum does not. I don't think that is bad to set some kind of limit before one can post for sale. That said there is no such limit here and from my observations low post ads often don't get a bunch of inquires or PMs, just my observations. I am hesitant to considering a purchase when a post is submitted by a member with a dozen or so (or even less) posts.

All that to say, hey the poster was just trying to be a bit humorous. The firearm is stunning and if I had $5500 to blow, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it. Fantastic workmanship ! They don't make 'em like that anymore !
