I tried Duch Shultz's system in my .62 fusil.

I have been trying several methods that has been mentioned on this thread over the last several weeks. Wound up wiping between shots with T17 and had great improvement. Today I added an over-powder felt wad to the equation with another improvement. All patches look like they could be used again. In my 45 Seneca the load wound up with .440 RB, .015 pre-lubed patch, felt wad over 55gr Goex. This thread has really helped me and several of my shooting partners very much, Thank ya'll a bunch.
Tried an over-powder wad on my TC Hawken 45 today and saw improvement.
I took the plunge today and used Dawn/water for my patching lube. Our last event of the year was a simple fun shoot, with all shooters firing from 25 yds, testing loads etc. what I immediately noticed was how easy it was to load each shot. No wiping between shot in my test. Pretty good accuracy-fired 7 shots at 25 yds from a rest with my .54 Pedersoli rifle. Even using my bad right eye, I liked the way it shot. No misfires at all. I quit after 7 shots so I could try my old CVA Kentucky pistol at 15 yds. ( I was not sure how I had adjusted the sights last time out, so wanted it close. Very happy with the results with the CVA, which I built from a kit about 40 yrs ago. I had the wobbles with the pistol, but I’m ok with that group. Furthest out shoot at 11:00 o’clock was by another shooter.
Next time I will shoot at 50 yds with the rifle, and 25 with the pistol. I really liked the results using the Dawn mixture.
